Caridon Group CEO attends House of Lords launch of safeguarding partnership
Caridon Group CEO, Mario Carrozzo, attended the House of Lords last week to support the launch of a new safeguarding partnership between The Safeguarding Alliance and BDO UK. The event marked a significant milestone in the campaign for Della’s Law, which seeks to close a legal loophole that has allowed registered sex offenders to change their names and evade detection.
Survivor Ambassador Della Wright shared her personal story, underlining the urgent need for reform and the human impact of inaction. The Safeguarding Alliance, led by CEO Emily Konstantas, has been campaigning for over seven years to bring this issue to light and ensure legal protections are strengthened.
Mario Carrozzo said: “Listening to Della’s story was deeply moving. Safeguarding is a responsibility that should be built into every sector, including housing. At Caridon Group, we are committed to supporting initiatives like Della’s Law and ensuring the services we provide always prioritise the safety and protection of the vulnerable.”
Caridon Group is proud to stand alongside survivors, campaigners, and safeguarding professionals in pushing for stronger, enforceable protections. The organisation continues to work on embedding safeguarding practices across all areas of its business, ensuring housing plays a proactive role in protecting communities.
