Caridon Young Living Supported Accommodation receives top Ofsted rating
Caridon Young Living’s Supported Accommodation service has received an Outcome 1 rating from Ofsted, the highest possible grade, after a detailed four-day inspection in June 2025.
This confirms the excellent standard of care and support provided in the Supported Accommodation homes, which offer shared living for up to 18 children and young people across three group houses. Inspectors praised the team’s strong commitment, noting the professionalism of staff and the genuine, caring relationships they have built with the children and young people.
The report described the homes as places where children and young people “feel proud to live” and staff as “skilled, compassionate, and consistently focused on their progress and safety.” Inspectors also highlighted the consistency of staff, which helps children and young people learn important skills for independent living, such as cooking, budgeting, and building healthy relationships.
The leadership was recognised as clear and effective, with managers fully aware of their responsibilities and focused on meeting children and young people’s needs. Their voices were central to the inspection, with many speaking positively about their homes and the support they receive.
Tony Waite, Operations Manager at Caridon Young Living Supported Accommodation, said the report reflects the team’s hard work and dedication. He noted the inspectors were impressed by the homes’ environments, the proactive approach to safeguarding, and the progress children and young people are making every day.
Suzanne Cooper, Director of Caridon Young Living, said:
“I’ve worked in this field for a long time, and I’m really proud of the team. This Outcome 1 rating shows their commitment and care for the children and young people we support. It’s down to their hard work and the way they work together. We’re focused on keeping these high standards and continuing to improve the service.”
This is an important step for Caridon Young Living Supported Accommodation. The team is committed to learning from feedback and making the service even better going forward.
